New collabs from Backdrop and Xavier Donnelly, Lori Weitzner for Samuel & Sons and more

It’s officially May, and the launches are warming up faster than the temperature. From leather-upholstered four-poster beds to passementerie-style curtain tiebacks, here are some highlights from the recent round of releases.

Backdrop debuted a fantastical collaboration with Xavier Donnelly. The ethereal collection boasts four immersive wallcoverings inspired by the New York artist’s travels throughout Italy, with highlights such as the painterly panoramic Appian Way, the mythological, cloud-filled Ascendance and the celestial, fresco-style Luminaries.

Little Greene’s Sweet Treat collection is teeming with dessert-inspired eye candy. The line offers nine delectable paints that draw from the hues of sugary snacks, such as the caramel-colored Galette, the honey-hued Bombolone, the chocolaty Ganache and the creamy gold Madeleine.

Chivasso’s For You collection is brimming with feel-good energy. Available through JAB Anstoetz, the exuberant line offers 11 highly touchable fabric designs in a medley of mood-boosting hues, such as the chenille leopard print–inspired Wild Heart and the warp-knitted velvet The Only (which comes in a whopping 33 colorways).

Sunbrella teamed up with United Fabrics for the Coney Island collection. The launch marks the first installment of the duo’s new Roadtrip series—which features performance upholstery patterns inspired by classic American destinations—and spans 22 outdoor-friendly designs such as the kaleidoscopic Sundial, the cabana-striped Rothko and the geometric Buoy.

Ruggable rolled out its second collaboration with Morris & Co. The enchanting collection includes 15 machine-washable rug designs adorned in iconic Arts and Crafts patterns and soft, spring-ready hues, such as the sage-colored Strawberry Thief and the pastel-toned Blackthorn in shades of pink, yellow and jade green.

Caroline Z Hurley’s Strands collection for Concrete Collaborative is a lesson in geometry. The Brooklyn-based textile artist used scissors and construction paper to design the encaustic tile line, which comes in three dozen colorways and includes designs such as the lunar cycle–inspired Multimoons and the sleek yet simple Shapes.

Michigan-based brand Stoffer Home released its first-ever upholstered furniture collection in collaboration with Cloth & Company. The debut introduces 12 chic, made-to-order designs available in an array of fabric styles, including the curvy Gail dining chair, the ruffly skirted Thelma settee and the fringe-trimmed Marie swivel chair.

Lori Weitzner’s latest launch with Samuel & Sons will transform your client’s window treatments into an artful focal point. The collection, called Acrobatics, boasts five artisan-crafted, passementerie-inspired drapery holdbacks, ranging from the linen chain link–style Somersault to the sinuously hand-stitched Cartwheel and the cuffed leather Backflip.

Emma Hayes debuted a dreamy new wallcovering named Botanic. Available in five versatile colorways—including grayish white Buff, two-toned Shadow, and smoky Moss—the design draws inspiration from the lush New Zealand landscape and showcases an abstract foliage motif based on an original painting.

Mexico City–based design studio Simon Hamui unveiled its inaugural furniture collection. Available at Love House, the pieces are crafted from organic materials using cutting-edge techniques and feature nine heirloom-quality modern designs, such as Umbra, a chic side table with a sandblasted acrylic top and metal leaf–finished base and Gerrit, a leather-clad four-poster bed with an adjustable fabric pergola.
