Purpose of Position: To provide assistance to all design staff members and, when requested, the administrative staff. This role reports directly to the Junior Designers with whom they are working.
Qualifications:
1-5 yrs. experience
Accredited design degree in interior design or architecture and/or related college degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad, and Adobe Creative Suite. Studio Designer knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities and Project Related Tasks:
• Assist designers with project management and decorative aspects of projects
• Research on-line resources for projects
• Research fabrics, furniture, wallcoverings, and accessories
• Research new vendor sourcing for furnishings, lighting, and accessories
• Communicate with vendors for quotes, pricing, and general inquiries
• Maintain tracking grids for status reporting
• Maintain project schedules
• Maintain project materials and products
• Create and maintain client binders
• Perform drafting and presentation work- implement furniture plans and elevations for various projects
• Assist with site measures
• Assist with preparation of presentation material for client meetings and off-site meetings
• Update presentation boards
• Create and maintain composition sheets from directives by junior designer
• Maintain pre and post meeting set up and materials filing
• Maintain client baskets and drawers
• Assist with installations
• Manage/oversee intern duties to ensure timely completion
• Manage the maintenance of the sample and resource library- ensure the timely return of fabric samples and vendor materials
• Manage the maintenance of the general office library
• Manage miscellaneous pick-up and deliveries for office
• Prepare office mailing and packaging, as requested
• Copying and filing paperwork, as requested
• Assist with answering the phones and accepting deliveries, as requested
