Job Description

Caroline Gidiere Design LLC is seeking a designer for a full-time Project Manager position. In-office position based in Birmingham, Alabama. Exact salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include:

Working on assigned projects from start to finish - to ensure that they’re executed seamlessly;

Managing project timelines, deadlines, and budgets;

Owning the execution of AUTO CAD input for furniture, lighting, etc., for assigned projects;

Adjusting furniture plans as soon as items change/are adjusted;

Capturing all onsite measurements, pictures, notes, and documenting those in detailed project files (Dropbox, Studio Designer, Client Folders, Power Point);

Maintaining detailed client files, both paper and virtual, including all proposals, invoices, underlying invoices, CFAs, schedules, and samples.

Attending client presentations, client meetings, conference calls, and installations;

Entering all items into Studio Designer and ensuring all information entered is accurate before passing it off;

Corresponding with studio approved vendors;

Procuring estimates and quotes, creating client proposals and vendor purchase orders;

Placing, tracking, and managing client orders;

Making principal aware of long or protracted lead times;

Identifying design holes and needs on a weekly basis;

Approving CFAs to ensure they conform with the specified product;

Acquiring Principal’s approval on images of completed work prior to shipment and insuring receipt of final balance due from client;

Setting and scheduling the weekly Caroline Gidiere Design team meetings; and

Working with storage companies and receivers to ensure products are received as ordered and undamaged.

Job Requirements

Must be based in Birmingham, AL;

Must have 2 years of experience in interior design field or a degree in Interior Design from an accredited university;

Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education;

Fully able to work in the US with a valid driver’s license;

Proficient in Studio Designer and CAD;

Detail-oriented and organized;

Self-sufficient, pro-active problem-solver, team player; and

Punctual.
