Gigi Kramer Interiors is a boutique high-end residential design firm specializing in custom homes and large-scale remodels throughout Southern California. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Interior Designer to manage projects from concept through installation.
This is an in-office/remote hybrid role, and we strongly prefer a candidate based in Orange County. We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates.
The ideal candidate is confident leading projects independently while collaborating closely with clients, contractors, vendors, and trades.
Responsibilities
• Lead high-end residential projects from concept to completion
• Develop detailed design plans and presentations
• Source furnishings, materials, finishes, and FF&E
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and day-to-day coordination
• Communicate directly with contractors, vendors, and trades
• Oversee installations and ensure all design details are properly executed
Qualifications
• Strong experience in high-end residential interior design
• Well-versed in sourcing FF&E and familiar with trade-only brands, vendors, and showrooms
• Proficient in CAD, SketchUp, and design documentation
• Highly organized with strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be based in Orange County and available for in-office collaboration as needed
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years hands-on experience in high-end residential design
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
Strong experience with project tracking, budgeting, and organizational systems
Deep understanding of architectural plans and construction documentation
Skilled in creating clear, polished client presentations
Detail-driven with strong internal systems and follow-through
Comfortable balancing multiple active projects across varying timelines and budgets
Clear communicator — experienced collaborating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and trades
Confident making decisions and leading projects with minimal oversight
