Job Description

Manage independent representative sales teams to ensure that they are advocating for and promoting the Brown Jordan brand. This requires understanding each territory and the ability to make the appropriate changes in representation when needed by finding new talent or removing those who do not meet Brown Jordan’s high standard of excellence.
Coach, mentor, lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team, leading by example and through the establishment of clear goals, consistent feedback, and training. Recognize progress and celebrate achievements.
Travel to meet with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans, and forecasts to achieve the company’s objectives for products and services.
Work with BJC Brand Manager to ensure that proper training materials, brand signage and sales aids are created and effectively implemented for all associates in retail locations who will be selling Brown Jordan.
Develop and implement merchandising standards across all of the Retail network, including but not limited to, product placement, signage, and sales aids to ensure the proper representation of Brown Jordan is achieved.
Work with BJC Brand Manager and Division President to develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets
Plan and oversee product positioning, promotional activities, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards, industry, and economic trends.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influences and key strategic partners.
Forecast sales expectations by monitoring the current rate of sales and being in touch with changes to the marketplace.
Represent the company at trade shows and various events to promote Brown Jordan Company.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
5-7 years relevant sales customer, front facing experience with progressive managerial responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Residential Outdoor or Indoor Furniture sales a strong plus.
Strong ability to influence buying decisions and negotiate effectively; ability to close and bring about win-win solutions.
Possess in-depth sales and marketing techniques, and financial principles.
Must be effective at presenting information one-on-one and small group situations to retail partners, representatives, and other employees.
The ability to respond and communicate in a professional and non-emotional manner to complaints, frustrations, or issues while supporting the company and its leadership.
Possess a strong work ethic demonstrated by attention to detail and completion of tasks timely.
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in marketing, new product development and branding strategy.
Well-organized and self-directed with project management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to interface effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
Must be able to work extended hours including some evenings and occasional weekends.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%).
Environmental/Physical Demands:
Office environment, store showrooms, and general travel; no specific or unusual environmental or physical demands.

Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the sales strategy within the Brown Jordan Retail Division, this role focuses on driving growth through customer acquisition and retention, aligning with the Company’s revenue and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will plan and execute sales initiatives in collaboration with marketing and product development teams, targeting both current and prospective retail markets in the short and long term. The ideal candidate will contribute insight for new products and new product strategies, while operating within budget and business plans. Business expansion within the retail sector will be a key focus and metric driver which will require cultivation of relationships with both new and existing customers.
