Job Description

Katie Ridder Inc is seeking a part-time Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has three years experience working in a high-end residential interior design firm. You must bring with you a fundamental knowledge of product and design, understand the process of proposing and ordering for a interior design firm, and show an ability to communicate well with our sophisticated clientele and the various trades we work with. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a bigger roll with a broad range of responsibilities. KRI is a small firm, so every staff member’s contribution is crucial for success. The ideal candidate will understand this and thrive in such an environment. The ideal candidate meets the following requirements.

• Minimum 3 Years’ experience working for a high-end residential interior design firm.
• Past project experience working on ground up construction projects and seeing them to completion.
• Likes working in a collaborative and creative office.
• Familiarity with high-end residential vendors and bespoke design work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in clear and concise manor.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Proficient with Google spreadsheets
• Experience using Design Manager software, on both client proposal and vendor purchasing side.
• Has a strong understanding of color and likes working with bold whimsical color palettes.
• Is highly detail oriented in both a administrative and design capacity.
• Ability to work with a heavy workload and comfortable work between more than one project.
• Strong ability to delegate to colleagues clearly and efficiently.

The position is available to begin immediately.

Job Requirements

• Work on projects from start to finish in tandem senior staff and principal
• Creating budgets and maintaining them throughout the span of a project.
• Overseeing client billing and generating proposals for payment.
• Creating detailed workorders and purchase orders.
• Creating paint/finish, lighting, drapery, and various other schedules.
• Creating budgets and maintaining them throughout the span of a project.
• Attending architecture, construction, and design meetings and taking detailed meeting notes and dispersing to all necessary parties.
• Be able to step in and help team with furniture plans and elevations in both CAD and in hand drawing.
• Delegate tasks to the junior design team.
• Hyper attention to detail and organization to ensure projects are on track and finished per the deadlines passed down by the senior staff members.
• Manage tracking schedule for all projects and track orders in process on a regular basis.
• Working with trades and workrooms closely to ensure all orders are executed per the senior staff and principals specifications.
• Other design duties given by senior staff and principal.
