Job Description

We are a small, fast paced, full service, bespoke, high-end residential Interior Design firm with offices in New York City and Telluride CO.
We are seeking a full time Junior Interior Designer/Assistant designer based in NYC. 
Work from home as well as weekly from UWS studio.

Ability to manage a project from initial client meeting to installation.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, architects, contractors, and subcontractors
Specify furniture, fabric, and finish selection
Experience sourcing antiques
Knowledge of architectural materials, lighting and hardware
Create design proposals, schedules and estimated budgets
Draft floor plans, elevations, detail drawings, and custom furniture.
Communicate comfortably verbally and in writing with clients and vendors
Oversee production details, manage and process all purchases from selection to delivery
Must be able to navigate and shop NYC resources; knowledge of NYC design resources a must
Experience with custom furniture design a plus  

Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a design firm (references required)
Expertise in AutoCad required
Knowledge of Sketch up, Revit and Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign and other presentation software.   
Candidate must be a true self-starter. We seek someone who will collaborate on projects and take full ownership and responsibility for them. This is a job with huge potential for a designer who completely understands that interior design is at one and the same time creative and administrative.

Ability, desire and appreciation of working independently
Flexible, adaptable, eager to learn and grow as a designer
